See Tumblr, nay the internet, has a problem with redemption in that some characters are allowed redemption and some are not. This is not a lax distinction it is full stop if a character undeserving of redemption gets redemption it is proof of morale failing of the media (Catra from Sh-Ra, the Gems from Steven Univers, hell even Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy got some hate), and this type of thinking needs to stop.
